Battalogia

A large loosely knit confederation held together by common race, beliefs and a very strong sense of shared history and destiny.

The nominal head of state is the King, a position theoretically inherited but more often than not held by skilled negotiation and force of arms.

Each duchy or province has its own political system with several being close to feudal kingdoms, 3 being closer to tribal allegiance and 1 province with a steadfast belief it is the last remaining province of a once all powerful Empire that will one day return.

This belief in a mysterious Empire that once ruled the land and was a protector of Battalogia is widely held, not just in the province holding onto the traditions it believes were inherited from this historical Empire.
